October Horror Movie Challenge- Day 4

Day 4 began with All Cheerleaders Die (2013), about a high school girl that infiltrates a group of cheerleaders and jocks with the intention of taking them down. Unfortunately, things go wrong when she and the cheerleaders die in a car crash and are resurrected by her wiccan ex-girlfriend. The group of cheerleaders turns into undead creatures that must feed on blood to survive. This movie was fun enough, but honestly the title card at the end promising a second part sort of ruined it for me. This movie is fine the way it is, it doesn't need anything more. 7 out of 12 beers.

Next up was the found footage bigfoot movie, Willow Creek (2013), directed by Bobcat Goldthwait. Willow Creek follows a bigfoot enthusiast and his girlfriend as they try to retrace the steps of the most famous piece of bigfoot evidence, the Patterson-Gimlin film. Found footage movies are getting kind of old for me, and this one certainly doesn't break any new ground. It's good for what it is and the actors come off as being very genuine, but the movie goes the typical found footage route of showing us just enough to keep us watching. It also helps if you're interested in bigfoot lore, I can't imagine that anyone who isn't would be very invested in this movie. Willow Creek is worth checking out if you're into bigfoot movies, just don't expect very much from it. 7 1/2 out of 12 beers.
