October Horror Movies Day 4

Only one movie today, and it wasn't very good. It's not like I didn't see it coming. First off there's the title: The Eerie Midnight Horror Show. Really? That's the best title you could come up with? It's also known as Enter The Devil, The Tormented, and The Sexorcist among others, all of which are better than The Eerie Midnight Horror Show. The second thing that tipped me off was the cover-

Wait a minute. Is that seriously a badly photoshopped swimsuit on that corpse?

Yes. Yes it is. And of course we can't forget the obligatory death sentence for every horror movie except The Texas Chainsaw Massacre-

Which of course translates to "Very little about this movie is actually true and most likely it's going to suck". The Eerie Midnight Horror Show (1974) starts off kind of promising actually. The plot involves a woman who purchases a quite creepy wooden statue of someone being crucified. The statue, which I'm assuming is the devil, comes to life and 'ravishes' her. After that and a mildly entertaining cult sacrifice, the movie descends into just another Exorcist rip-off. It does pick up a bit towards the end, but by then it's too little too late. 4 out of 12 beers.
